FAQ. Engagements
1. What is an engagement session?
An engagement session is a professional photo shoot that captures you and your partner before the wedding. It’s a great way to celebrate your engagement and get comfortable in front of the camera.
2. Why should we do an engagement session?
It helps you get to know your photographer, build comfort in front of the lens, and create beautiful images you can use for save-the-dates, your wedding website, or décor.
3. When should we schedule our engagement session?
Ideally 6–12 months before the wedding. This gives enough time for editing and using the photos for any pre-wedding materials.
4. How long does an engagement session last?
Typically about an hour, depending on the location(s) and outfit changes.
5. Where should we take our engagement photos?
Choose a location that’s meaningful or fits your vibe—like a park, beach, city street, your favorite café, or even your home.
6. What time of day is best for photos?
Golden hour (shortly after sunrise or before sunset) provides the softest, most flattering light.

Get a good night’s sleep, hydrate, plan your outfits in advance, and communicate with your photographer about your vision or any inspiration you love.
