A bridal session is a pre-wedding portrait session focused solely on the bride in her wedding attire. It’s a chance to capture elegant, stress-free portraits before the wedding day.

 

2. When should I schedule my bridal session?

Ideally, 4–6 weeks before your wedding. This gives you time to receive your photos and address any last-minute changes to your look or dress.

 

3. Do I need to bring anything to the session?

Yes! Bring:

  • Your wedding dress

  • Shoes and accessories (veil, jewelry, bouquet if desired)

  • Makeup touch-up kit

  • A friend or family member for support (optional but helpful)

 

4. Is professional hair and makeup recommended?

Yes, using the same artists as your wedding day allows you to preview your look and see how it photographs.

 

5. Where can we shoot the bridal session?

Popular locations include:

  • Outdoor gardens or parks

  • Historic venues

  • Your wedding venue

 

6. How long does a

 bridal session last?

"A bridal session typically lasts about 1 to 2 hours. That gives us plenty of time for outfit adjustments, posing, and capturing a beautiful variety of images without feeling rushed.”

 

7. Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely! A friend, mom, or maid of honor can help with the dress, encouragement, and touch-ups.

 

8. What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?

"If the forecast calls for rain on the day of your shoot, we’ll keep an eye on it together. I’m always happy to reschedule for better weather at no extra cost—it’s important to me that you have a great experience and beautiful photos!" 

 

9. Will these photos be shared before the wedding?

"Nope, your photos are totally private until after your wedding day. I always wait for your go-ahead before sharing anything publicly—your moment comes first!”

 

10. Do I need a bouquet for the session?

It’s not required but recommended. Many brides order a smaller version of their wedding bouquet for the session.

 

11. What should I expect during the shoot?

"Your bridal session is all about celebrating you in your dress, with a relaxed and fun vibe. It’s a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, capture timeless portraits, and really soak in the excitement before your big day. I’ll guide you through everything, so no need to stress about posing—I’ve got you!"

Options include:

  • Display at the reception

  • Add to your wedding album

  • Print for your home

  • Share on social media (after the wedding, if keeping it a surprise)
